Scope and Contents
Collection of loose prints each 200 x 260 mm. It reproduces fourty-five photographs contained in an album whose origin is unknown apart from an inscription in a childish hand on one page: 'For dearest Mother from Wilfred 5 May 1883.' This is very different from the handwriting on the caption of a photograph on the same page, and on most of the rest of the collection. One item is dated 1875, and a number are dated 1885. Despite the uncertainty of their origin, most of these photographs are extremely clear and the re-photograph of them is excellent.
