Immediate Source of Acquisition

The provenance of the collection is not known. It was identified as the work of Baron d'Unienville by H. Adolphe, of the Mauritius Government Archives, on the basis of the handwriting.

Bibliography

Apart from a concluding paragraph, the text corresponds to pp. 159-320 of vol. 2 and pp. 1-107 of vol. 3 of 'Statistique de l'Ile Maurice', 1885-1886.
