The manuscript bears the vendor's inventory number '93844' on the front cover. Losely inserted is a typed note (early twentieth century) reading: 'Manuscript of W. M. Praed's poem ELIJAH Awarded Seatonian Prize, 1830. Presented by Sir George Young, Bart.'
