Scope and Contents

Correspondence (chiefly copies) between C.P. Smyth and Sir H. Grubb on the Edinburgh Equatorial Telescope and a spectroscope. The letters cover the contract for the work, its construction and specification, and disagreement between the two parties as to whether the contract had been adequately fulfilled.
