Notes on mathematics and optics, 1750 - 1810
Scope and Contents
Rough notes on mathematical, optical and astronomical problems, largely in the period 1777-1783, including a table of errors for an eye-glass. There are a number of poems and epigrams penned by Maskelyne whilst at Cambridge during 1750-1757, written in English and Latin, with versions of the 18th, 23rd, 29th and 84th Psalms and a translation of Sophocles. There is also a bill for food from H. Storey, 1810, and an etching. Some pages of manuscript have been cut from the volume.
