Biographical / Historical
It is thought these volumes are the preparatory reduction work of stellar observations made at Greenwich for the production of published star catalogues, particularly as a number are annotated with the phrase 'Copy for Press' or similar. Some parts (epoch 1892-1905, declination +90° to +65°) may represent work that contributed to the international 'Astrographic Catalogue' project.
