PROTHERO, Mary Frances 'Fanny', 1910-1913
Scope and Contents
Three letters from Fanny Prothero to Ida Darwin and one each from Fanny and George Prothero to Horace Darwin. All but one of the letters were sent to Ida and Horace in August-September 1910 and express sympathy and concern for Ida following an accident in which she injured her hand. The final letter was most likely sent in February 1913 and describes Fanny and George's visit to the family home of Alan Barlow, son-in-law of Ida and Horace, at Wendover in Buckinghamshire.
