Scope and Contents

Comprises a green folder with gold lettering containing reproduction prints of photographs of most of the cast of the play, in character: Dorothea Baird, Herbert Beerbohm Tree, Edmund Maurice, Lionel Brough, Herbert Ross, Gerald Du Maurier, Rosina Filippi, and H. V. Esmond.
The play was founded on George Du Maurier’s novel, and this is a souvenir of the first showing in London on 30 October 1895.
The images are all taken from photographs by T. C. Turner (Turner and Drinkwater).
