 Item
Reference Code: GBR/0012/MS Add.7653/1/A/8

Scope and Contents

Writing from the Academic Assistance Council now at 12 Clements Inn Passage, Clare Market, London WC2, Adams tells Oliphant that the Home Office has asked whether the AAC can support Oliphant's application to employ Oscar Heil at the Cavendish Laboratory for the 1935-1936 academic year. Adams is unable to reply as he has no information about Heil's career; he requests details and asks if Heil 'is on of the displaced German scholars'? The AAC may be able to facilitate Heil's entry to [Britain] if he is abroad.
