Scope and Contents
A draft English translation by Charles Gutzlaff, 2 March 1848, of an undated memorial from Keying [Ch'i-ying] [to the Emperor Tao-Kuang] concerning the murder of British subjects by Chinese villagers at Hwang-chuh-ke, labelled in pencil 'Hwang Chuh Ke Murders'.
