Scope and Contents
An envelope addressed to Sir Harry Parkes containing a document comprised of a letter from Andrew William Pereira, Colombo, to Parkes, 23 August 1883, followed by copies of a letter from John Kyle, Resident Engineer, Colombo Harbour Works, to the Colonial Secretary (John Douglas), 27 November 1882; a letter from James Alexander Swettenham, for the Colonial Secretary, Colombo, to Kyle, 30 November 1882; a letter from Swettenham, Colombo, to Pereira, 9 July 1883; and a memorandum from Kyle, Colombo, to Pereira, 13 June 1883.
