Scope and Contents

Correspondence regarding financial matters concerning the Ewo Brewery Company, divided into two sections: 'Flotation of Public Company' and 'Miscellaneous'. There are also many related documents, including accounts for the years 1938 and 1939; a memoranda for the partners of the Ewo Brewery Co. on the 1938 and 1939 accounts; the memorandum and articles of association of Ewo Breweries Ltd, 11 October 1940; an agreement for Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd to be employed as General Managers of Ewo Breweries Ltd, 14 October 1940; and minutes of the first meeting of the Directors of Ewo Breweries Ltd, 14 October 1940. The correspondents include B.D.F. Beith; D.G.M. Bernard; Ellis Hayim; W.J. Keswick; David Landale; Low, Bingham & Matthews; F.N. Matthews; J.J. Paterson; W.E.D. Smith; and R. Takashashi. The folder is numbered 2, and is labelled 'Brewery:- Finance'.
