Scope and Contents

Private and confidential correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong and Shanghai, with related letters and papers. The letters from Hong Kong to Shanghai are copies; the letters from Shanghai to Hong Kong are originals. The earlier volumes also includes telegrams exchanged between the two offices. The correspondents are Thomas Beesley, R. Gordon, J.H. Keswick, D.F. Landale, H.H. Lennox, J.J. Paterson, F.A. Pollock, A.W. Robson and E.F. Watts.
