Scope and Contents

Copies of property letters from Jardine Matheson, Hankow, to Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, with enclosed letters and papers:

2. Letters nos P.1-7 and P.9-29 from W.S. Dupree and J. Horner-Smith to J.H. Keswick (mainly) and H.H. Lennox, 12 January-11 December 1946.

3. Letters nos P.1-43 from J. Horner-Smith to J.H. Keswick (mainly) and F.A. Pollock, 13 January-31 December 1947.

4. Letters nos P.1-43 from J. Horner-Smith and A.G. Jacobs to J.H. Keswick and F.A. Pollock, 8 January-30 November 1948.

Some of the original letter numbers have been changed: P.1, 8 January 1948, was originally P. No. N-001; P.2, 12 January 1948, was P.48/1; P.3, 14 January 1948, was P.48/2; and HP.14, 13 January 1950, was HP.018. No. HP-84 of 22 October 1952 encloses copies of semi-official letter no. C.S. 68 from Hankow to Shanghai, 29 October 1952, and semi-official letters nos H-45-48 from Hankow to Shanghai, 29-31 October 1952.
