Copies of property letters nos P.184-287, 289-340, 342-388, 393, 395-412 and 415-422 from R.M. Austin, B.D.F. Beith, J.H. Keswick, W.J. Keswick, D.F. Landale, J.J. Paterson, F.A. Pollock and G.W. Sheppard, Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, to H.A. Allan, W.S. Dupree, H.H. Lennox and A.E. Smith, Jardine Matheson, Hankow, 5 April 1929-20 November 1941, with enclosed letters and papers. Letter no. 387 of 27 April 1939 has been numbered incorrectly as no. 381. There are also extracts of semi-official letters nos 18 from Hankow to Shanghai, 11 March 1929, and 104 from Shanghai to Hankow, 21 March 1929.

The enclosures include copies of a letter from R.C.L. d'Anjou, Commissioner of Customs, Hankow, to the Administrator, Jardine Estate, regarding the cost of maintaining roads, policing, etc., on the Jardine Estate, 9 March 1928, and a reply from the Estate Office, Jardine Matheson, Hankow, 10 April 1928, and a plan of the proposed new Bund, S.A.D., No. 3, Hankow, February 1930.
