Copies of semi-official letters from Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, to A. Davidson, Balfour, Guthrie & Co. Ltd, New York, with enclosed letters and papers:

1. Nos 1-12 from J.H. Keswick, 4 June-26 December 1946.

2. Nos 13-50 from J.H. Keswick (mainly) and H.H. Lennox, 4 January-30 December 1947.

3. Nos 51-75 from J.H. Keswick and F.A. Pollock, 6 January-22 December 1948.

4. Nos 1-10 from J.H. Keswick, 20 January-7 December 1949.

5. Nos 11-13 from J.H. Keswick, 12 January-1 September 1950.

At the start of the file are copies of four unnumbered official letters from W.E.D. Smith (12 December 1945) and H.H. Lennox (12 December 1945, 16 May 1946 and 1 June 1946), Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, to Balfour, Guthrie & Co. Ltd, New York. The ring-binder is labelled 'Correspondence between Shanghai & New York [J.H.K. & B.G. & Co., Ltd.]' and 'File I'.
