Scope and Contents

Copies of semi-official correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, and Jardine Matheson, Taipei, with enclosure letters and papers. The correspondents are J.H. Keswick, H.H. Lennox and F.A. Pollock, Shanghai, and B.E. Bolton, D.I. Bosanquet, C.V.L. Eckford, Chang Kan and Young Hee, Taipei.

J1/235 contains copies of the semi-official letters from Shanghai to Taipei of 1946-1949, and also includes no. 73 of 25 April 1949, which is missing from this series.
