Scope and Contents

Copies of semi-official correspondence between Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, with enclosures:

1. Letters nos 942-951 and 953-999, 3 January-29 June 1950, and 1-68, 30 June-29 December 1950, from W.J. Keswick (mainly) and W.E.D. Smith, London, to J.H. Keswick and H.H. Lennox, Shanghai. No. 952 has been transferred to another file, but there is a sheet listing its contents.
