Scope and Contents

Copies of semi-official letters nos 1-77 from B.D.F. Beith and J.F. Owen, Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, to H.H. Lennox, Balfour, Guthrie & Co. Ltd, New York, with enclosed letters and papers. At the back of the file are copies of telegrams exchanged between London and New York, 9 December 1941-28 January 1944. The subjects covered in the file include (among others) aviation, W.S. Dupree (staff), G.C.C. Harper (staff), property, repatriation of British citizens, S.S. 'Seawitch' insurance, staff, staff war allowance, tea and U.S. savings certificates.
