Copies of semi-official letters from Jardine Matheson, Wuhu, to Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, with enclosed letters and papers, including annual agency reports:

1. Unnumbered letters from T.S.H. Hoey to J.J. Paterson, 30 March 1929, and from O.V. Lanning to R.M. Austin, 5 and 13 June 1929.

2. No. 1 from P.C. Mansfield to R.M. Austin, 2 November 1929.

3. Nos 1-8, 10-42 and 44 from T.S.H. Hoey, P.C. Mansfield, T.W. Pan, A.M. Scott-Morris and Tu Ying Luan to R.M. Austin, B.D.F. Beith, J.H. Keswick and W.J. Keswick, 22 July 1930-29 November 1937.

The subjects covered in the file include (among others) the Anhwei Provincial Trade Tax Bureau, annual accounts, the Ewo Brewery, the Nangking bungalow, the Nanking-Kweichi Railway, shipping, staff, native staff and Tu Ying Luan (Compradore).
