Scope and Contents

Copies of miscellaneous unnumbered semi-official letters from Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, to offices of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd and a wide range of other correspondents. Most of the letters are addressed to correspondents in Great Britain, but there are also letters to China, Hong Kong, Europe, the United States and elsewhere. The authors include D.G.M. Bernard, Henry Keswick, David Landale, L.N. Leefe and C.H. Ross. Many letters are unsigned. The volumes are labelled 'Sundry semi official letters' on the spine, and are numbered 1-7.

Access to the collection is subject to special conditions and is at the discretion of Matheson & Co. Ltd, part of the Jardine Matheson Group.
