Scope and Contents

Two sets of four printed instructions for Armstrong guns, including diagrams of the weapons: 'Directions for the repair and renewal of Coppers in the Armstrong Breech-loading Guns'; 'Directions to be observed in the use of the Armstrong 70pr, 150pr, & 300pr Muzzle loading Guns', including range tables; 'Instructions for the care and use of the 6pr B.L. Armstrong Field Gun', including a range table; and 'Instructions for the care and use of the 12pr B.L. Armstrong Field Gun', including a range table. The documents are undated, but originate from the mid- to late-nineteenth century.
