Scope and Contents

A deed poll or letter of attorney by Hollingworth Magniac of London, one of the executors and the sole residuary legatee named in and appointed in the last will and testament of Charles Magniac, deceased, appointing Jardine, Matheson & Co. to take possession of and manage the Imperial Hong, heretofore belonging to Charles Magniac, having been let to him by Howqua, Hong merchant, and the remainder of Magniac's personal estate and effects at Canton or elsewhere in China, dated London, 4 April 1854.
