Scope and Contents
Articles of agreement between Matheson & Co. of 3 Lombard Street, London, agents of Jardine, Matheson & Co., and Richard Farr Hamilton of 4 Woodland Terrace, Newington Green Road, London, engaging the latter as tea inspector at Hong Kong or elsewhere in China for a period of five years from his arrival in Hong Kong, dated 21 May 1860.
