Scope and Contents
Copies (mostly press copies) of letters from Alexander Forbes Angus and William Paterson, agents of Jardine Matheson, Foochow, with related bills of lading, characters of tea, and invoices. Most of the letters are to correspondents in Australia and New Zealand, but there are also some to Burma, India and Great Britain. In some cases the name of the author is not included, and the signatory is given as the agent for Jardine, Matheson & Co. The addressees include Captain Bezer; Brown & Co.; George King & Co.; James Henty & Co.; Koenigsberg Commercial Association; J.H. Monger; Henry Moore; Edward Pearce; Russell, Ritchie & Co.; Captain Wells; and W.E. Marmion & Co.
