Scope and Contents

Copies (mostly press copies) of letters from Joseph Jardine, Robert Jardine, William Keswick, James Macandrew, Herbert Magniac, Henry Murray, Alexander Perceval and James Whittall, Hong Kong, to correspondents in Shanghai, with odd letters to other places, including Amoy and Foochow. Most of the letters are to partners of the firm, including R.A. Houstoun, Robert Jardine, F.B. Johnson, William Keswick, James Macandrew, Alexander Perceval, Edward Whittall and James Whittall. There are also some later letters to Jardine Matheson, Shanghai.
