Scope and Contents
Manuscript profit and loss accounts of Jardine, Matheson & Co. for the years 1848/49, 1849/50 (2), 1850/51, 1851/52, 1852/53, 1853/54, 1854/55, 1855/56 (2), 1856/57 (2), 1857/58 and 1858/59, dated Hong Kong, June 1849-June 1859. There are also undated tables of accounts for opium, cotton, sugar, tea, bullion, saltpetre, silk, rice and copper cash for the years 1848/49 to 1858/59.
