Opium memoranda and accounts, 1853-1869
Scope and Contents
Memoranda and accounts regarding opium, some from the 'Berwick Walls', 'Lady Hayes' and 'Folkestone', dated Shanghai, Woosung and no place. The documents include memoranda regarding weights of opium; stock accounts, Woosung; a memorandum regarding prices realised for damaged opium sold at public auction [Woosung]; and a memorandum regarding the quality of opium aboard the 'Lady Hayes', 1860. They include reference to H.P. Baylis; Daniel Patridge; and the Sassoon Family.
