Scope and Contents

The documents are in English, French, Italian and Portuguese, and are dated Réunion and elsewhere. They include a collection of memoranda and letters regarding the case of the 'Glensannox'; memoranda of the Italian consulate in Réunion; a note on documents sent to Howland & Aspinwall; a memorandum on enlistment and coolies with regard to the vessel; legal agreements; and a memorandum of repairs necessary. The documents include reference to Pernambuco; Recife; and diplomacy.
