Scope and Contents

The documents include stock and sales accounts of opium; a memorandum of the repayment of a loan to the Foochow Customs; memoranda of outturns on specie and treasure; memoranda regarding the costs of tea; a memorandum of R.F. Hamilton's Haiquan loan account; a memorandum of freight collected in Foochow on account of the 'Carthage', 1862; and disbursements accounts for various vessels.
