Scope and Contents

The documents are dated Kanagawa, Nagasaki and Yokohama, and include accounts regarding the Cargo Boat Company, Nagasaki; outturns of tea, and the re-firing of tea; memoranda of building accounts, some with Glover & Co.; a statement of exports from Yokohama from July 1861 to February 1862; 'Notes on entries in December a/Current', Yokohama, 1863; memoranda regarding wages and petty expenses; analyses of accounts; memoranda of tea purchased; memoranda of disbursements, some regarding the 'Lanrick'; and memoranda regarding trips from Shanghai to Kanagawa. The documents include reference to Thomas Glover; S.J. Gower; property; and shipping.
