Scope and Contents

The documents include memoranda regarding the costs of tea, including the differences between invoice prices and prices actually settled; outturns of specie and treasure; memoranda regarding disbursements; memoranda of marks, numbers, gross and net weights, and the number of cakes of chests of opium sold at Foochow; a register of drafts drawn by M.A. Macleod; memoranda regarding freight received; and a memorandum of expenses incurred by Alfred Roper at Leucong, 1865. The documents include reference to Thomas Glover; R.F. Hamilton; and the 'Carthage'.
