Miscellaneous memoranda and accounts, 1860-1877
Scope and Contents
The documents are dated Bombay, Calcutta, Canton, Foochow, Hankow and Shanghai, and include memoranda of cash on hand, Shanghai, 1860; memoranda from Bombay and Calcutta of opium shipped to China, 1865-1867; tables of shippers and shipments of tea from ports in China; memoranda regarding sales and purchases of tea and opium, with tables of contract and market tea settlements, Foochow, Hankow and elsewhere; 'Memorandum regarding Green Teas 1875-6', from Vogel, Matheson & Co., April 1875; 'James Goddard Jn. & Co.'s Tea Memoranda for Season 1870 [-] 71', March 1870; memorandum of prices of Malwa opium at Kiukiang for the year 1867-1868; and 'Memorandum of Raw Silk exported from Canton...', July 1865. The documents include reference to the 'Algarris'; Behar; London; and fabric.
