Advertisements and memoranda for newspapers, 1875-1876
Scope and Contents
Classified advertisements for newspapers, some with accompanying letters, dated Hong Kong. The documents relate mostly to the movements and cargoes of ships, but also include business and post office notices, and notices regarding auctions, freemasonry, musical and dramatic performances, a marriage, a death and a lost dog. The documents include reference to Douglas Lapraik & Co.; Indo-China Sugar Refinery; Lammert, Atkinson & Co.; Lane, Crawford & Co.; Canton; and the fire brigade.
