It proposes the removal of the Chapel from the south front to the south- east corner of the Hall, the bay-window with 16C stained glass re-erected there as the east end, and a dining room [?] with Gothick arched recess occupying the site of the old chapel. Lenny's survey plans of 1824 (Hengrave 26) show that a first-floor chapel was formed in the SE corner, but the old chapel and its stained glass remained where it still is
