Scope and Contents
Letter from Sassoon's former golf caddy, praising his books and poems, particularly his 'Memoirs'; stating that his own war experience led him to feel as Sassoon did that 'all this was sheer murder', and thanking Sassoon for taking a stand: 'I felt very proud of you for the stand you took on the side of your men - all men who were being so needlessly slaughtered. May I thank you for it.'
