Annual Award for Newspaper Design, 1954-1973
Scope and Contents
The award, sponsored by Printing World and Linotype & Machinery Ltd, was started in 1954. Printed papers for each year consist of an a programme for the presentation luncheon and a report of the judges. In earlier years there was also a printed announcement and entry form. Hutt was a judge of this award in 1959, and was technical advisor to the judges in every year from 1963 on. (He compiled the judges' report from their individual memoranda.) This subseries also includes papers from earlier years in which Hutt did not take part.
