Correspondence on newspaper design, 1935-1973
Scope and Contents
The subseries are newspapers with which Hutt had dealings. Each consists of correspondence usually accompanied by issues or tear-sheets of the newspaper, and sometimes layouts, proofs, etc. (But specimen newspapers filed separately by Hutt are mostly now in series F.) By many of these newspapers Hutt was engaged as a consultant, and the correspondence includes a formal memorandum by him; with other newspapers, the letters are informal and often related to remarks in one of Hutt's magazine columns. Some newspapers with whom Hutt's correspondence was slight are grouped in subseries B81 and B82.
