1st Royal Welch Fusiliers in Picardy about 18 miles from Amiens; mentions receipt of parcels, riding, Bengal Lancers, and the death of his horse Cockbird ('heartbreaking'); requests slippers and plum pudding. Written on folio /76 of a notebook.
