One volume (in most cases the Boots Scribbling Diary) for each year. Entries are usually notes of engagements, made by RHI or his successive secretaries (Mrs Anderson and Mrs Durrant), with occasional contributions from DMI. RHI has added a few longer entries, either in manuscript or as typescript inserts (such as his thoughts on the day of DMI's funeral).
