Writings relating to or derived from the tour: texts, drafts and notes for the Report, lectures, and articles
Scope and Contents
In 1920 EEP became the first woman to be awarded the Kahn Fellowship, which provided funding for a year's travel round the world. This gave her a lifelong interest in the history of the East, and in particular a love of China, which led her to emphasize the importance of studying world history and not just European history.
