The Albert Kahn Travelling Fellowship, 1920-1921

 Series
Reference Code: GBR/0012/MS Add.8961/4

Scope and Contents

In 1920 EEP became the first woman to be awarded the Kahn Fellowship, which provided funding for a year's travel round the world. This gave her a lifelong interest in the history of the East, and in particular a love of China, which led her to emphasize the importance of studying world history and not just European history.
