Macquarie Street North, 1870 - 1879
Scope and Contents
267 x 202 mm. View looking along Macquarie Street, with a row of three storey terrace houses in the foreground. The building in the background appears to be the Free Library at the junction of Bent Street and Macquarie Street. The terraced houses in the foreground are handsomely proportioned buildings with slender arched doorways and cast-iron balconies on the first floor. They would appear to date from around the mid-1840s.
