Scope and Contents

350 x 274 mm. A view looking along the railway line, crowded with freight trucks full of coal, towards the wharves, which are lined with steam and sailing vessels waiting to be loaded. The Dyke is situated in the centre of Newcastle harbour, at Carrington, and contains the main coal exporting wharves.
