Reference Code: GBR/0115/RCS/Y3085L/12

Scope and Contents

205 x 150 mm. Black and white photograph showing farmer posed next to cow. With contemporary handwritten sheet pinned to photograph which reads:

Mr E. Noble.

Mr Noble’s farm is situated about three miles from Craidley out towards Blenheim and is an ideal spot for Dairying. Mr. Noble has been Dairying for the last twenty years, and is now the happy possessor of one of the finest Jersey herds in Queensland and his cows which are in the pink of condition can all be milked without either bails or sheds.

Mr Noble states that like many things until the advent of the butter factories they were in a very bad way owing to low butter prices etc. but that last year from his small herd of Jerseys he cleared £196. Since the factory system came into vogue Noble has always sent his cream to the Slacksrood[?] Dairy Coy. A coy in which he speaks of the highest terms.
