T.B.R. Westgate with German askari after shooting a leopard, Kiboriani, 1905, 1905
Scope and Contents
Showing Westgate standing in the centre of a group of five German-trained African soldiers, with a dead leopard lying at their feet. The askaris were sent to Kiboriani by the German authorities to protect the missionaries at the outbreak of the Maji-Maji Rebellion in 1905. Two glass negatives, 162 x 120 mm and 107 x 80 mm.
