Scope and Contents
156 x 112 mm. Showing a contingent of Emin’s African troops posed with rifles at the ready. Sergeant Küne (1893), who had served under Stühlmann in the march round the lake to meet Emin at Bukoba, kneels behind a machine gun at the left of the print; Lieutenant (Dr) Franz Stühlmann (1863-1928) in command of the force himself stands at the right of the print.
