Mess tent and forest, Mt Elgon, 1890-02
Scope and Contents
155 x 113 mm. Showing the mess tent standing on open hillside above the main camp with densely wooded hills behind. This print, the following photograph and LS/28 are not specifically mentioned by Gedge, but on February 22nd he writes of bamboos ‘many having fallen across the track’ and of camping in the open after leaving the forest. It is probable therefore that this group of prints relates to this period.
