155 x 113 mm. Showing the dead cow buffalo lying on its side. Gedge’s diary for the day records photographing the animal: 'a herd of buffalo crossed my path about 50 yds off; let drive the 8 bore and knocked a cow which went a short distance and then fell dead on her knees. Photographed her as she lay . . . '
