On the way to Lumbwa, 1889-10-05
Scope and Contents
155 x 113 mm. A view looking along the lightly wooded valley with rolling hills rising on either side. Gedge’s entry for the day accurately describes the scene: ‘country open road good. Shambas and villages dotted about in patches of forest on hillsides . . . Went out in the afternoon and took a photo of the valley. Wearisome work toiling up and down the hills’.
